Here´s a news article. Sorry about the weird wording, but it was translated from indonesian by google translate. Tried to fix it up a little thought!
The Philosophers cast invited to the palace
August 6, 2011
Metrotvnews.com, Jakarta: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono plans to invite the cast and film crew of The Philosophers to the Merdeka Palace. This was told by Minister of Culture and Tourism, Jero Wacik, in Kemenbudpar Office, Jakarta, Friday (5 / 8).
The reason for this visit is that the government will oversee the filming process of The Philosophers which have been shot one the island Belitong, Prambanan, and Mount Bromo. The government has now started to build the infrastructure to welcome tourists when the film is aired. The film will be released in May-June 2012.
“Infrastructure hold us up, but soon a new airport of Lombok is ready to receive tourists increases if the film is to promote Indonesia,” he said.
In addition, he said not all Hollywood films will be supported by the government. It depends on whether it is a favorable scenario for Indonesia or not.
“See the first scenario, if there are good and benefit why not,” said Wacik.
The Hollywood film will be starring Bonny Wright, Freddie Stroma, Daryl Sabara and others. It will be directed and produced by George Zakk, Cybill Lui and John Huddless. (MPA / *)
Another ex-Home and Away star have mentioned Rhys in a new interview. Here´s what he said:
Fortunately there are plenty of Aussies in L.A. especially ex-Home and Away cast. “Chris Hemsworth (Kim Hyde) and I are in touch, we haven’t seen each other for a while because he is so damn busy, but he and I certainly keep in touch via phone whenever we can. Rhys Wakefield, (Lucas Holden) I have seen a few times. There are a few Australian functions that we go to over here so we all get to sit down and reminisce about Summer Bay and everything else.” Nic is even still in contact with Holly Brisley who played his wife Amanda in Home and Away. “In fact we emailed each other about a week ago and I saw her, when she and her husband were over here in January/February, she will be a lifelong friend.
On the 5th of August, a second press conference for The Philosophers was held in Indonesia, but unfortunately it seems like Rhys Wakefield, Bonnie Wright, Sophie Lowe didn´t make an appearance. It might be because they were of the few that attended the first press conference. According to rumours and fan spottings they went shopping and attended a special screening of the latest Harry Potter movie. However a video from the press conference shows some exclusive behind the scenes clips of The Philosophers. The video can be watched here.
Seems like I completely missed that Rhys was at the GQ Men of the Year Part in LAlast year! But rather late then never, right? I also added some screencaptures of the videos below, which are from the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney, also last year.
Thanks to the ever lovely Jess, we´ve got some new awesome adds to the gallery. There´s four new pictures from the Sanctum Premiere After Party and three replacements from Celebrities Visit Extra.
