Seems like I completely missed that Rhys was at the GQ Men of the Year Part in LAlast year! But rather late then never, right? I also added some screencaptures of the videos below, which are from the GQ Men of the Year Awards in Sydney, also last year.

2010 Publi Appearances > 18.11.10: GQ Men of the Year Party

On the 28th of February Rhys attended the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing Party. But as Rhys isn´t really well known in the US, I´ve only managed to find pictures with him in the background. It´s better than no pics, right? High School Musical stars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens in front..

On the 25th, Rhys attended Australian in Films Pre-Oscar Party in LA! Only one pic have surfaced so far, but hopefully I´ll get more soon ;)

Rhys have attended two new events recently (finally)!  First he attended TAO Las Vegas 5 Year Anniversary in Las Vegas on November 6th and on November 30th he attended the 2010 GQ Men of the Year Awards with Jessica McNamee back in Sydney. I`m guessing he´s home in aussie for christmas :)

TAO Las Vegas 5 Year Anniversary

2010 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Found two articles about Rhys attending the 5th anniversary for Tao (Nightclub in Las Vegas). Let’s hope there will be a red carpet and lots of pics :)

Tao Will Be Going Off Like a G6 Tomorrow

There’s only one event you need to know about this weekend: Tao celebrates its fifth birthday tomorrow. 210,000 bottles later, the bash should be epic. Guests already confirmed include Jack Osbourne, Karina Smirnoff, Christina Milian, Sarah Jane Morris, Brittny Gastineau, Rhys Wakefield “and others”, but let’s not forget that when Lavo recently had its birthday, the celebs who turned up (Kimmy K, for starters) were way better than what had been promised (Rob Thomas). Cover’s not bad, considering: men $30, ladies $20, local ladies free.

Tao turns five

Tao is doing its five-year anniversary party tomorrow night the way these things are done: With Ozzy and/or Ozzyspawn. Jack Osbourne will be on the red carpet along with Karina Smirnoff, Christina Milian, Sarah Jane Morris, Brittny Gastineau and Rhys Wakefield to mark the occasion.

So Lavo’s anniversary is in August, Tao’s is being celebrated anywhere from October to November and Marquee will celebrate in December. That’s a lot of anniversary shopping to do right at the end of the year, and what with Christmas coming and everything.

I found this article about Rhys going to attend the Australian International Movie Convention, where exclusive clips of Sanctum will be shown! Really exiting :D

Cameron’s Coast convention back-up
Maria Lewis | August 14th, 2010

FAMED film director James Cameron is backing up at the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC) on the Gold Coast this year showing sneak-peek footage of his 3D underwater epic Sanctum at this week’s event.

Cameron blew delegates away when he showed exclusive footage from his blockbuster Avatar last year, now, 12 months later, he is set to do the same.

Star of the Sanctum, Rhys Wakefield, and producer Andrew Wight will attend the event at Jupiters Hotel and Casino on Wednesday when Universal Studios will present the scenes.

Sanctum, filmed on the Coast earlier this year, is in post-production in Melbourne where the visual effects and final touches are being added.
Director Alister Grierson told the Bulletin that it will be a ‘very exciting’ event.

”It won’t be the fully finished version but what you will see will be in 3D,” he said.

“Universal pictures are really excited and pumped up to do the release and it’s rare an Australian film gets this amount of positive review and anticipation before it’s out.

“We’re doing some pick-up shots and have built a mini set here for visual effects, so we’re very close to finishing.”

Although he and executive producer Cameron will not be attending the convention.

“I flew over to LA and screened a version for Jim about a month ago and he really enjoyed that,” he said.

“He had some tips on how to improve it and a few nips and tucks.”

Sanctum is just one of the dozens of films that will be previewed over the five-day convention, which starts with the Queensland premiere of Tomorrow When The War Began at Jupiters Hotel and Casino tomorrow night.

Hollywood stars Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell will walk the red carpet at Event Cinemas, Robina, on Wednesday night for the Australian premiere of The Other Guys.
