Charming Rhys is celebrating four years online with a brand new layout aswell as a new name; Rhys Wakefield Source. It´s crazy that this site has been online for four years!

First of all I really want to thank Leanne, because if it wasn´t for her, this site may had died when MSN Groups closed down their service back in february 2008. She really helped me alot back then! Another person I´d also like to thank Isabelle for her constant support and feedback. You´re such an amazing person, and I´m so grateful that I know her!  And last but not least, I really want to thank all of you who always keep comming back to my site. Thanks for all the views, comments and feedback. It´s deeply appreciated. You are the ones that makes me want to make this site shine!

And of course I also want to thank Rhys for being such an inspiring and genuine person. You are going big places, mate! And we will continue supporting you all the way.

To celebrate the anniversary I´ve also made a few site updates. I´ve finally got a style section up and running so that you can take a look at Rhys`cool and sometimes quirky fashion choices. This section is in constant construction so look out for more ;)

Since I´ve now got Sanctum on DVD, I´ve been able to screencap the whole thing for you guys.

I´m sorry for being abesent, but I´m really busy with school at the moment.. I´m at university and the exams are comming up really soon! I´ll try to update once in a while, but I can´t promise anything. We´ll see how it goes ;) But if anyone´s interested in being my co-web (helping out with updates), please contact me as soon as possible!

Inspired by Isabel Lucas Online, I decided to make a summary for 2010!

2010 haven´t been the biggest on the news front, but Rhys sure had a lot to do even so. In the first months of the year the filming of Sanctum took place on Australias Gold Coast. According to director Alister Grierson it was physically demanding for the actors and quite dangerous.

In march Clearing the Air was screened at Byron Bay International Film Festival and Rhys participated in a session of work from young Australian film makers. Director Julian Shaw was awarded Best Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year for the short film.

Rhys returned to LA in april to do lots of auditioning. In LA he also attended his first event of the year, the Australians in Film´s 2010 Breakthrough Awards.

The next couple of months was quiet on the news front but here on Charming Rhys we got a new layout and the gallery was updated with lots of HQs and Home and Away screencaptures.

In august rumors about Rhys maybe returning to Home and Away
started going around when his father on the show was set to leave. It turned to be incorrect, as there only was a phone call we never got to hear. August was also the month when Charming Rhys celebrated 3 years online. More information on Sanctum surfaces and Rhys attends an exclusive screening of Sanctum on the Gold Coast

While september was quiet, the next month saw the release of the trailer for Sanctum and the movie´s official website was launched. Rhys once again returned to the city of big lights. At the end of november he was back in Sydney and attended the 2010 GQ Men of the Year awards wearing a amazing tux.

Outfit

Rhys looked über cool in a classic black tux with a red velvet bow at the 2010 GQ Men of the Year awards. I think it´s the first time for him wearing a tux to an event.

Photoshoots

This is by far my favourite photoshoot of Rhys this year. I love the setting, the outfit and the photos by themselves. A amazing shoot by one of his closesest friends, Hayley McInery who also shot session 13.

Just letting you know that I’m having some kind of problem with the gallery! Trying to find out what’s wrong and fix the problem as soon as possible… As you can see by the thumbs in “recent images” I’ve uploaded some amazing show of Rhys! They’re worth the wait, I PROMISE!

EDIT: I’ve made a temporary gallery for you, so that you can see the latest pictures :D If I can’t fix the problem with the old gallery, I’ll probably move all the files over to the new one ;) It looks really plain now, but atleast we have a gallery!

This month, Charming Rhys celebrates three years online! It seems like a lifetime ago since I made this site, back in August 2007. I started off the site as a MSN Group under the name Rhys Wakefield.net (that’s right! The URL is no coincidence) and had it there for 1,5 years. Then, in December 2008 I got the shocking message, MSN was closing down their groups service in February the following year! I really wanted to keep the site, and I had always wanted to make my site into a real HTML site. But the problem was that I had no idea about coding.

The first thing I needed was a host where I could get a free domian, and after a bit of looking around I was lucky enough to find Starszz. In their support forum I got in touch with the fantastic Leanne who were willing to learn me how to code and get the site up by February. So I’d like to thank her SO much for the help! Without her, I don’t think it would exist. Not because I didn’t want it to, but I wouldn’t have been able to get it up by myself! I would also like to thank everyone that have visited this site over the years. It really means a lot for me that you check out the site from time to time!

I promise to continue bringing you all the latest news and images, and that little bit extra in the years comming :) As I start studying this year, the updates might not be as frequent, but I’ll do my best. And with Sanctum comming in February, I’m sure there will be lots to update about! :D
